Oh yeah. Steph's totally team mom. She even commented on that in an older post lol.

Oh absolutely, she'll sit Irina down and lay down the law for her: different is okay. We all still have ten fingers and toes.

Though if Irina ever meets Kurt Wagner, Steph might be a little concerned.

Steph strikes me as a supportive mom. You're a mutant? That's wonderful. You want to go out on a limb and make a living as a musician? Go for it. Chase your dreams and know Mom and Dad will be here for you no matter what.

If Irina met Kurt she might just stand in awe and admiration, given her father goes out of his way to hide his one unnatural looking trait and Kurt, who's got it so much worse, used to be a circus performer.

Oh yeah. Like you said, she'll do her damnedest to make it to every concert. Or almost every concert. Supportive mom that saves the woooorld. With dear ol' dad helping.

Irina may be fine with it. Steph may....be concerned a bit as he's not that humanoid looking.

Vitorovich is lower ranking, so he might be able to go to more of them. I have this mental image of Stephanie and him watching a school play and filming it for later. And the badassery of the two of them in the PTA.

Vitorovich would point out that's just a little hypocritical considering she has a mutant daughter.

So if Irina has her father's last name, does that mean there was a shotgun wedding or are Steph and Vitorovich unmarried?

[identity profile] msrogers.livejournal.com 2012-09-23 05:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Not so much shotgun wedding as....

Repulsor-Hammer-Arrow-Hulk-Spider Bite wedding.

Steph is willing to raise the kid by herself but not unmarried. It's either on her own or in matrimony.

It might be an awkward marriage, but Vitorovich does kind of thrive in domestic bliss. Explaining this whole thing to the Avengers might be tricky, though.

[identity profile] msrogers.livejournal.com 2012-09-23 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Does he really thrive in domestic bliss? Oh gosh, it would be hilarious for Irina to grow up in such a domestic environment and at the same time, know that her parents can kill a man in 30 different ways.

[identity profile] vitorovich.livejournal.com 2012-09-23 05:30 pm (UTC)(link)
He yearns for it. He played dad to his siblings a lot. He'd be a doting parent, if maybe a bit of a confusing one, sending mixed messages about mutants and having an awkward dorky relationship with Steph. But they would dominate if someone bullied Irina.

[identity profile] msrogers.livejournal.com 2012-09-23 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I think Irina would hold on her own if she were bullied. Though how would he react if/when she has that first episode? I imagine she would be aware of her powers but when she's cornered, it would be more offensive than defensive.

[identity profile] vitorovich.livejournal.com 2012-09-23 05:37 pm (UTC)(link)
He'd immediately take her aside and try to instill that telekinesis is not to be used for everyday BS and that it can potentially be lethal. Vitorovich wouldn't be ashamed, but he would emphasize this is serious business.

Steph would probably say the same thing, really. Powers are not playthings.

[identity profile] msrogers.livejournal.com 2012-09-23 05:40 pm (UTC)(link)
With great power comes great responsibility.

She'd totally play the violin and be daddy's girl.

[identity profile] vitorovich.livejournal.com 2012-09-23 05:43 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a cliche for a reason.

And that would be awesome because she's have him wrapped around her finger despite his badassery. Thank God Steph is there to see through the manipulation and nip it in the bud.

[identity profile] msrogers.livejournal.com 2012-09-23 05:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh she will. Irina may also be spoiled as hell by Auntie Natasha.

[identity profile] vitorovich.livejournal.com 2012-09-23 05:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Let's just keep Uncle Tony away from her for everyone's sake.
