Stephanie Barnes hummed to herself as she made her way home from the grocery store. It was nice that Bucky had to go to a conference for a little bit, it let her catch up on things like the cleaning and the shopping, her paintings. What a wonderfully normal day.

She greeted their neighbors as she passed by with a smile. She actually was healthier now as an adult than she was as a child.

"Oh now, I don't believe that. Maybe I could help you a little after dinner. Drawing's one of the easiest things ever," she smiled.

"That would be great. But just remember...I warned you." No, really, Steph. Sad as it may be...art is not your daughter's strong point.

If the girl looked closely, she might see pink baby booties poking out of aone shopping bag.

Oh she looked and now she's freaking out. Cause she can't...isn't there some big no no law about two of the same person being in the same place. "A...are you pregnant?"

"Hmm?" she looks over and blushes. "Oh no. I just...well, I kind of wanted a kid around for a while and Bucky....I can tell he wants to be a dad too but needs a little bit of motivation sometimes."

"And you're hoping the little pink shoes will provide the motivation he needs?"

She gave a small smile and put the booties back in the bag. "Well, maybe."

"I'm sure they'll do the trick." She wanted to tell her that they were going to be great parents. Cause they were. Sarah loved her parents. More than anything.

Once supper finished, Steph plated two portions for them. "Would you like something to drink? Pop? Water? Milk?"

"Pop would be great." She was about to add a 'diet if possible' when she realized there was probably no diet soda in the 1950s. Oh the horror.

"I know Bucky worries about my health. But we could adopt." She reached and opened up a bottle for her guest.

"Your health?" She sometimes forgets how sick her mother used to be...especially since she never experienced it first hand.

"I get sick pretty often," she explained sheepishly.

"Oh? Are you...are you okay?"

Steph picked at her food a little. "I'm fine now, I think. I just have asthma. And come cold season, I get colds real easily. But I"m sure I can handle having a kid."
